Midwest Family Business Peer Groups

Leadership poses a multi-faceted challenge and blessing to those who are called!  Becoming part of a focused Leadership Peer Group provides participants the opportunity for comprehensive leadership development.  Peer group members will have countless opportunities to grow personally and professionally and to not only be on the receiver side of such privilege, yet to take part in providing similar opportunities to other peer group members.

Our Family Business Peer Groups are based on the Family Business Core Values below. Family business and personal endorsement of these Core Values and the commitment to strive toward fulfilling them is prerequisite for participation in all of our peer groups

Legacy Peer Group

Often during succession planning, our focus is swayed to the incoming generation and preparing them for day-to-day leadership of the firm. That lens is critical, but what about the outgoing leadership? How can the firm and the family continue to utilize their strengths and how do we ensure a smooth transition for the former CEO? Their experiences and relationships are an amazing competitive advantage; they are wisdom keepers and now must become wisdom sharers.

The Legacy Peer Group is comprised of individuals who are retired from the daily operations of the family business or are looking to transition over the next 5 to10 years.

This peer group will be professionally facilitated by one and occasionally a couple of our advisors who will guide participants through discussions of what the next chapter could look like and provides education and resources to plan for what is ahead. Meetings are held quarterly with travel around the Midwest, as we anticipate meetings to be in various locations.

This peer group is confidential and flexible to focus on the issues important to them. If you or someone from your family might be a fit, we would love to talk to them and discuss how this program may be beneficial to them and the family business.
